The Bulkmelter20 Series uses Melt on Demand (MOD) drum unloaders for direct extrusion of EVA based, pressure sensitive, Polyethylene, Polyamide, and Polyurethane adhesives and mastics, for both manual and automatic applications.

Designed for large-scale production, the BM20 Series from Protek come in a 20litre configuration and are fitted with high pressure gear pumps with different flow rates and a safety valve, in order to guarantee absolute feed precision under all usage conditions, both continuous and intermittent.

A new microprocessor controls all the operations necessary for the system to operate smoothly including thermo-regulation of the various sections and programming control of eight glue lines for each of the four independent channels. Protek’s innovative BM20 melters also offer advantages such as simplicity of use, flexibility, reduced maintenance costs, quick installation, high safety standards, exceptional reliability and full integration with any packaging line.

Other features of the BM20 Easy Series are a Rotary Switch selector for setting system parameters, an elevator with two pneumatic cylinders for raising and lowering the heating pressure plate for changing the drum which significantly reduces machine costs and downtimes due to refilling, high precision gear pumps, a sophisticated pressure control device and a quick pressure release and regulation valve to enhance safety.
