Protek’s new PREO U5 Easy Series are innovative applicators for hot-melt adhesives made of polyamides and reactive polyurethane (PUR). An international market leader, the U5 Easy Series offers simplicity of use, production flexibility, reduced maintenance costs, quick installation, high safety standards, exceptional reliability and full integration with any packaging line.
The new microprocessor controls the full operation for a smooth gluing experience including thermo-regulation and programming of the eight glue tracks for each of the four independent channels. Other functions include economy mode, clock, weekly programme, maximum temperature alarm, sequential heating of all channels and delay temperature set point lock.
To ensure safe storage of adhesive a large cylindrical, hermetically sealed loading inlet facilitates filling of the 5kg tank. The tank lid is then immobilised by a secure system that protects it from opening involuntarily or accidentally, and also prevents material from spilling over.
Other features of the U5 Easy Series are a Rotary Switch selector for setting system parameters, variable speed AC motors, an easy to access and replace glue filter, an automatic air drying system (provided as standard), a sophisticated pressure control device, a choice of high precision gear pumps of different capacity and a quick pressure release and regulation valve to enhance safety.
